HOw yer going???

hiya! sorry, no nice pictures today...!!

Well classes finally started and I've already got tons of readings:'-( I had 3 lectures and 1 tutorial yesterday, and they were all quite interesting. BUT problem is ...they speaks so fast! plus, they use all sorts of Australian expressions...so lectures were pretty intense for me. I hope I'll get used to it soon. Anyway I 'm pretty much getting into my study now( ...but probably still not this week...we have Thursday night pub ritual at NOTT and also another big party on this Fri!!!)

Tonight we had Howitt pasta night and I met some new people there( surprisingly, there were still so many residents I don't know!). After that I came back to my room and had good talk with my neighbours. Well my floor has lots of senior students ( lower floor has younger students....and parties, of course) so it's kind of quiet most of the time, but I like it coz we can study and also can go to sleep anytime we want. ..! One of my neighbours is Samantha from Canada . She is actually studying Japanese:) Nathen is my next door, and he came from Darwin. They are both very nice people. Also we are all over 20 yrs old so I suppose we're quite good match. well I'm pretty happy about my surroundings.

Allrighty.... I have to get back to my readings. I have a lecture from 9 tomorrow morning. Okay, hava good night and cu l8ers!!!xxx

lazy Sunday

my room &view from my window!

Hi! How's your weekend? I had pretty lazy weekend....I didn't do much, mostly I spent time in my room or just laying down by the lake with Joni. Well, we've been just so busy for orientations and parties for last two weeks and I think today is actually the first time we don't have anything on. Probably this is normal, but we felt so bored and missed the crazy party weeks so much.

As I've been keep saying, I've already learned lots of Australian college life and met just so many people. This is such a greatest experience ever. Well, what I found really good about Australian is that they know how to enjoy their life. They love having fun, and very good at making things more interesting. Also, I was so overwhelmed at first that there were so many orientation activities going on , since we don't have such in my uni back home. But most of them were quite fun and great opportunity to meet new people. Even school activities felt enjoyable to me. Maybe, our Japanese university have lots of things to learn from them.

Classes will start from tomorrow and we'll be finally settled into regular school schedule. I'm excited for my classes, although I assume it's gonna be a pretty challenging for me. Anyway, we'll see....

Plus, thanks so much for those who write me a comment here or even those who sent me a email !! Even this 2 weeks were a great fun for me, they were also tough weeks at the same time. I felt so supported and felt like being at home when I heard from u guys! I'm so happy to know each of u also doing well.
Peace.

discover Melbourne city

Wow....it's already 2weeks since I left Japan. I feel like I've been here much longer than 2weeks, like a month or so, maybe cos I've meeting lots of people here. Anyway, this 2weeks were just great. I've been discovering the real Australian culture everyday, and also finding new part of myself. Plus, I've been able to update this blog almost everyday, so I'm actually pretty happy about it!!! I really hope u guys also enjoy reading a piece of real Australian uni life here.
This afternoon, Joni, James and I went to the city. I've already been to the city twice since I came here, but last time we only did shopping, and couldn't see much of Melbourne. This time, we visited National Gallery of Victoria, and were fascinated by all those arty works (they've got several different galleries, and one of them was exhibition of sneakers....it WAS very unique, actually!). We also went up to the observation deck in the city, and could see the entire part of Melbourne. That was pretty nice.
By the way, I feel like Joni and I are now getting really good friends. I don't know why, but from my own experiences, I feel German people have some common feeling to our Japanese. Anyway, she made me laugh, and we always have good time together.

Well, I've gotta go to bed now, seeya!!!!

Luna Park Night Out

As I told u before, St. Kilda is my favorite place in Melbourne. Last night, we had a trip to Luna Park in St. Kilda, which is a small but decent amusement park. Actually it was pretty cool since our uni rent the whole park for the night. We tried some of rides and roller coasters.....well, I screamed a lot..haha lol!
Also we walked around the market and enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere with beautiful sunset. I liked the St. Kilda in daytime, but I also liked the night aspect of there, too. Lights, music, breeze...they created the different feature of the place. Slow but sensational...just so nice. u'll see it in pics.

By the way, I had my faculty session today, but I still can't imagine going to classes from next week..!! Maybe because we've been having too much fun for two weeks...!
Gnight!

My precious people

Another party...! I'm sorry if u felt fed up with all those party news and pics..! This time we had pyjama party and of course everybody get dressed in pyjamas. As I said in my last update, I thought I 've been partying too much and need a short break from it; but I couldn't help myself....no excuse, sorry. I had so much fun this time again. That was, lovely night.

Telling the truth, a little sad thing happened to me today. I was kinda depressed in the mid of party. But now, I think I can handle it, and I'll be able to get over it soon, since all those my friends are now with me. I've been here still less than 2weeks, but I'm already having so many nice people around me. I have those amazing people who support me and who can even chill out together. Thanks. I'll be fine tomorrow.

I now already know that this is going to be a fantastic year.
Cheers.

Host Scheme Night 2007

Hi guys...to tell the truth, I'm deadly exhausted right now....well, it's probably hangover.
Last night, we came along to the biggest university party of the year called Host Scheme Night at QBH, near the crown casino in Melbourne city. First, I was almost overwhelmed by the number of people there...there are more than 2000 students!!!!How big was that!!! The place had 3 floors, and the second floor was a huge dance floor with DJs playing trance music. That was AMAZIN'...!!! I had so much fun ever, since I'm not usually a party girl as u guys know. We were just dancing as crazy as others, and hit the floor for the night.

well, I may have even gone a little too far last night... anyway, it was a great night. I ,however, feel like I'm kinda dried up for all those every night's party out since last week.........well, maybe not. I'm sure I'll feel like going out for them in couple of days, cos u know, I'm here, with drunken Australians!!!!

C u guys!xxx

Howitt O'week -St. Kilda

Hi there! This week we have another orientation from our hall ,and today we had a day trip to St.Kilda. My friends and I walked around the street and also had a look at the market near the beach. Actually St Kilda is one of my favorite places in Melbourne for its artistic and relaxed atmosphere. They've got really nice cafes and vintage shops there. Well, if u come to Melbourne, u really should visit St.Kilda...! I'm sure u love the place!

By the way, I 've been seeing lots of new people through all these orientations and also I'm leaning Australian way of meeting new people. I still feel myself as really Japanese in a way, but I also feel like I'm getting really Australian in some way....lol! Anyway, it has been still one week since I came here, but every day I wake up with a new perspective of the world in this multicultural country.
Okay, see u luvs!xxx
